The Most Distant Quasars was conceived as a more electronic, space-themed set of compositions that take us on a journey to the most distant objects in our universe. It was inspired by a phrase from Carl Sagan's TV series Cosmos, where he briefly mentioned "the most distant quasars." That simple phrase inspired my imagination. What are these things? Why are they so different from other astronomical phenomena? Our knowledge of the universe has come so much farther than when Carl filmed Cosmos. We now know so much more about quasi-stellar radio sources, and that they are not only the most distant objects from us, but also images from the most distant past. I hope listening to these tracks inspires a sense of wonder about these remarkable things that exist at the edge of our science and comprehension.
