The Himalayan chain is the most awe-inspiring thing on Earth. It is literally the visible evidence of the collision of continents. This area inspires me, filled with a majesty that is difficult to take in when you're in the environment.

The people who live there are just as impressive. Surrounded by unimaginable scenery, they fight just to survive. Stripping away the non-essential, they show us that harmony with what is around us is possible, and also that harmony with the political and the intentions of other humans is far more challenging.
